Insomniac’s Coffee Kiosk
I would like you welcome you to the 2011 Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Races. We at Insomniac´s Coffee Company are looking forward to fulfilling your coffee needs again this year. As usual, you can expect us there around 6:30 am on both Saturday and Sunday. Have yourselves a great season, and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Jamaican Mi Juicy
Cultural diversity in cuisine enhances a fair. It presents a particularly unique opportunity for Jamaican Mi Juicy to showcase its flair and culinary dexterity, which is a vital part of the cultural kaleidoscope of British Columbia. It’s an opportunity for the patrons of the fair to experience a delightful taste of the Caribbean. This only adds to the fair’s already diverse culinary experience and will be complimented by a professional and customer friendly environment.

….”we make the fantasy in taste a reality”

Peak Perfection Ice Cream
The Peak Perfection Ice Cream Company brings a taste of English style, soft serve ice cream to the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival. Our wonderful red and white ice cream truck was custom made for us in England and is the only one of its kind in Canada. We make our vanilla or chocolate ice cream fresh every day so come and meet Meryl & Tony. We’ll greet you with a friendly smile, and serve you a freshly made soft ice cream cone made with real ice cream and then topped off with a Cadbury Chocolate flake bar, just like they do back in the UK. Go on, treat yourself. You deserve it!

Salt Spring Noodle Bar
We are “the little restaurant that serves BIG flavours”! We cook hot, fresh-to-go Thai style meals all served in our famous pagoda, take-out noodle boxes.  Yummy options to choose from, such as our hugely popular teriyaki and our flavourful pad thai – all include plenty of veggies, chicken, and noodles.

One of our specialties, not only in our festival trailer, but also in our restaurant on Salt Spring Island, is that we cook all of our food in water, not OIL.  This is a must have in an ever increasing market of “healthy food conscious people”. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Dragon Boat Festival!

Jang Mo Jib
Jang Mo Jib Korean Restaurant is a locally-based restaurant business focused on providing quality traditional Korean cuisine to all of our customers.  Having started with one restaurant in 1995, JMJ has grown to four locations and strives toward becoming the first Korean Restaurant Chain in all of Canada.  With emphasis on fine ingredients along with the aim to satisfy all different ethnicities, from hearty soups and stews to our numerous bbq dishes, JMJ wishes to create a special place for Korean food in all our patrons bellies!

Marianne’s Gourmet Galley
Say good-bye to greasy concession food, and enter the realm of healthy, gourmet delicacies at Marianne’s Gourmet Galley.  Marianne has brought her many years of experience as a yacht chef to her new traveling restaurant, now on wheels instead of the high seas.  Author of her latest cookbook,” Menus and Memoirs of a Yacht Chef”, she will be introducing the paddlers and their supporters to a few of the gourmet recipes offered in her cookbook.   Although the road-based restaurant has only been in operation for a couple of  years, it has already become well-renowned throughout B.C. for its famous “salmon burger”, made with a ¼ lb. wild Pacific salmon fillet and Marianne’s secret seasonings and sauce.  The breast of chicken on a bun is newly introduced and promises to follow suit in its notoriety with unique seasoning and flavorful tarragon sauce.  The melt-in-your-mouth barbecued ribs, also made with house-made sauce, are finger-licking good.  Everything is made with only natural, healthy ingredients, and free of preservatives and artificial ingredients.

Ukrainian Kitchen Creations
Ukrainian Kitchen Creations is a Lower Mainland based company specializing in Ukrainian food. The company was established in the spring of 2007. Our emphasis is on quality, handmade Ukrainian food of perogies, sausage, borshch and cabbage rolls. We participate as food vendors at festivals around the Lower Mainland; ie. Renaissance Festival in Langley, European Festival in Burnaby, Cranberry Festival in Fort Langley, Ukrainian Festival in Mission, etc. We strive to satisfy your craving for Ukrainian food with a truly, delightful eating experience.”

Yo Quiero Tacos Tacos
Mexican food is made from the finest, freshest ingredients available. We do not cook with lard, preservatives, food colouring or other additives. Cooking methods such as broiling and grilling assure that fresh foods stay fresh. We use only Fresh Top Quality Chicken Breasts, and Certified Angus Beef ® in all our dishes. Our salsa is made fresh daily on the premises. Festivals finally have a healthy, fresh and filling meal option.

Wrap Daddy’s
Here at Wrap Daddy’s we have taken our wraps to a whole new level. Our southwestern flavours spicy or not, will add a kick to your day. We start with fresh peppers and onions and sautee them with a choice of chicken or beef, or combo if you can’t decide. We then put the stir-fry in a roma red tortilla rolled into a cone and top it off with cheddar cheese, fresh homemade tomato salsa, and sour cream. We also have a vegetarian option, and gluten free tortillas for those with wheat allergies.

For something on the go, try our Wrappinni, which is rolled and toasted on the panini grill. We are based out of the sunny Okanagan, and have been serving up our delicious wraps for 16 years. We look forward to meeting all your paddling hunger needs
