Located on the waterfront at Concord Pacific Place and in the waters of False Creek, our waterside festival offers spectacular site lines and easy access by SKYTRAIN, bicycle, foot and car.

False Creek will be seeing some big changes in the next few years and the Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival is happy to be part of a bigger plan for the development of the area.

Sponsors of The Dragon Boat Festival have a unique opportunity to create a high profile association with North America’s largest festival of its kind. Sponsorship of this event emphasizes your involvement in and support of community initiatives, multiculturalism, youth programs and participatory sporting events.

Sponsor benefits will be customized to ensure that they achieve your specific corporate objectives and goals. The extensive range of benefits have been designed to:

We recognize the value in developing long term relationships with our sponsors. By facilitating an on-going marketing and public relations strategy the Festival creates an opportunity to build a continuing relationship for sponsors with the event.

Programs available for sponsorship include:

Signature event (the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival in Vancouver)
Dragon Zone Mixed Regatta (held in early June and the second biggest dragon boat event in the province)
Richmond Dragon Boat Festival in Historic Steveston (in partnership with the Richmond Dragon Boat Festival
Community Paddles (12 events in Spring and early Summer)
Children’s Program (held for four months during the school year)
Dragon Zone (a practice club operating 11 months per year)

Each of the above events and programs has distinct properties that offer unique appeal to particular audiences. There are multiple levels of sponsorship available at prices from $5000 to $125,000. A generic sponsorship package is available upon request and is a good starting point if you wish to familiarize yourself with the materials and programs the society has at its disposal to activate sponsorship programs. We recognize that all of our sponsors have unique marketing needs and that programs must be developed that will suit these needs. Our approach is to build each custom program in partnership with the sponsor.
