  • January-December registrants: 9 months of practice time remaining
  • Practices can begin as early as June 28 once all paperwork is filed and completed. Teams should begin editing rosters on register.dragonboatbc.ca and ensure paddlers have up to date contact information on the system.
  • Phase 4 COVID Protocols in effect until further notice; visit dragonzone.ca/alerts for more information.

General

Administration

Team administrators may choose from these options for their 2020 season’s unused balance:

  • begin practices at a time frame of your choosing with your time credit
    • pro-rated fees if time credit crosses pass length options are available; please visit dragonzone.ca/dragonboat to review practice options. As each team has a different situation, please contact info@dragonboatbc.ca with information on what your team would like to do for practices for a specially quoted rate.
  • convert unused balance onto a gift card (i.e. 75% or 50% of paid fee onto gift card) for use against passes, lessons, rentals, or to change practice setup specifications.
    • If your team previously was practicing 3 times a week and wishes to decrease the number of times you practice a week, you would select this option. NOTE: Teams are advised to check if it is more advantageous to purchase a new practice slot package, and retain your existing time credit for use in the future.
  • request a refund of the unused balance minus a 25% holdback.

Once your team has decided on a plan, please email info@dragonboatbc.ca for next steps. If no option is selected or the team is not ready to make a decision, the unused fees will continue to remain on file. Unused fees will stay as a time credit to be used by September 30, 2022. After this date, time credits not yet used will be converted into a gift card.

Registrations for the 2021 and 2022 season are not expected to open until the week of June 21. Teams wishing to restart the week of June 28 are encouraged to ensure they have read the Club’s Phase 4 COVID protocols, update their roster online to list only 30 people that will be on the boat, and ensure that all waivers are completed.

If assistance is required, please email info@dragonboatbc.ca to ensure that our staff can properly assist you.

Separate guidance will be issued in the coming months regarding transfers for race fees. Please wait for guidance independent of this document regarding transfers to 2022 or the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival in late September 2021.
