The Chinatown Lunar New Year Spring Parade returns, and we’re excited to bring one of our specially designed dragon boats out for the community to see! Featuring one of our specialty art boats, ring in the Year of the Snake where dragon boat started in Canada- in Vancouver’s Chinatown. Plus, some of our dragon boat teams will accompany the parade float to give out lucky red envelopes featuring a brand new design to celebrate the Year of the Dragon!

Lunar New Year Olympic Village Community Festival (11:00 AM-4:00 PM, 1 Athletes Way – Creekside Community Centre)

Celebrate the new year with us in Olympic Village! The Lunar New Year Olympic Village Community Festival will feature free entertainment, tables with information on dragon boat teams recruiting new members for the season, information on our community programs and events for the year, and vendors with a range of traditional Lunar New Year items!
